What We Do

Our Services — Tree Work in Great Falls, MT

Four services. One Cascade County, Montana crew.

What We Do

What's on Our Truck

Electric City Tree Co. began in 2015 as a removal outfit: Cole Hagberg, a bucket truck, a chipper and a stump grinder, taking down wind-split cottonwoods and dead boulevard elms around Great Falls, Montana the way he learned on the line crew. Removal is still what people know us for, but more calls now are about a stump, a boxelder that only needs its deadwood out, or a bench gone to juniper.

Every job starts with three questions: where is the tree, what is it threatening, and whose tree is it? Here the last one matters. A boulevard tree belongs to the City and needs Park and Recreation approval, while a tree on your own lot needs no permit at all. Each of the four services below has its own page and its own price ranges.

A roped-in climber sectioning a bare hardwood trunk against the sky, a cut piece swinging away on a rigging line

Tree Removal

Wind-thrown, snow-broken, dead, leaning or disease-killed trees taken down in sections and hauled off the same day, with the boulevard question and the elm-wood permit settled before the truck rolls. See the full details, including typical pricing →

A stump grinder wheel cutting into a stump in a lawn, wood chips flying

Stump Grinding

Stumps ground below grade so they stop catching the mower and throwing suckers. Old cottonwood and boxelder root plates run wide, so we look for sprinkler lines first, and an elm stump goes in the same visit. See the full details, including typical pricing →

A climber roped into the trunk of a tall tree, cutting a limb inside the canopy

Tree Trimming

Deadwood and hazard limbs, snow-load thinning on boxelders and Siberian elms, sidewalk and street clearance, the corner-lot sight triangle and dormant-season elm pruning. We never top a tree. See the full details, including typical pricing →

A mini excavator pulling stumps and brush on a partly cleared wooded lot

Land Clearing

Dead shelterbelt rows, benchland juniper, river-bottom cottonwood and willow, acreage lots and storm debris, with the County burn-permit question and the chip-or-haul plan settled before we start. See the full details, including typical pricing →
